Hallmark Volkswagen History

The Hallmark Automotive Group first opened its doors to the public in March 1989. Back then we were selling Jeeps and Eagles. While the Jeep franchise experienced success, the Eagle franchise was on its way to being shut down by Chrysler. In 1998 we replaced the Eagle franchise with Volkswagen and Hyundai. 

The Volkswagen and Hyundai brands quickly showed they were going to be successful franchises. In early 2001, Hallmark sold the Jeep franchise and became a full time Volkswagen and Hyundai dealer.  

Early 2008, Hallmark realized we needed to expand again because the current location was not big enough for both Volkswagen and Hyundai. In anticipation of a move, we added the Mitsubishi franchise. It turned out that we were going to be the exclusive Mitsubishi Dealer in Middle Tennessee. Our employees responded by exceeding customer’s expectations and rewarded Hallmark with the Diamond Excellence award.  

In 2009 Hyundai’s new building was opened for business and now we are an exclusive Volkswagen Mitsubishi dealership. We are excited about the future with Volkswagen and Mitsubishi. With electric cars arriving and North American factories opening up, both franchises have told to us hold on tight with the big sales increase coming. 

Hallmark is ready for the next chapter and the employees will continue to offer the same great service we have been providing since 1989.
